I still have a few of the Dunlop Maxply Fort wood tennis racquets I used as a varsity player for the Ohio State Buckeyes—they're warped now. I loved the feel of the ball on the strings of those obsolete racquets. After finishing a singles match against my opponent from the University of Michigan, he and I were scheduled to play each other in doubles with our respective team mates. Rather, he jumped the fence and wandered off with two Ohio State female students who had been watching our match and never returned.
